Breathing for Your Baby is a mental wellness self-care practice developed specifically for pregnancy. This workshop is for people who believe that stress management is essential in their pregnancy, and are searching for a technique that is easy and highly effective.
This gentle daily practice will reduce both transient and chronic anxiety (also known as an allostatic overload) and increase your sense of wellbeing over time.
As a certified Havening trainer and a midwife, I adapted this neuroscience-based therapy for the unique pregnant mind and have taught it to the families in our care since 2017. Our team has witnessed incredible transformations and we are pleased to make this available to all pregnant people. This is a four-session weekly workshop, but you may immediately feel the effects of this work after the first week. By the end of the training, you will:
Gain insight into the potential and positive neuroplastic changes of your brain during pregnancy.
Distinguish between harmful and helpful stress during pregnancy, and down-regulate anytime to a calmer state.
Improve your resilience with only 10 minutes of daily self-havening.
Feel empowered and capable in your pregnancy.
Notice increasingly positive changes in yourself through time.
Backed by neurobiological science, physiologic changes of daily self-Havening include the increase in uterine blood flow to baby, increase in oxytocin, serotonin and endorphins, and decrease in cortisol and stress hormones in mother and baby.
