Margarita is a Registered Social Worker with an MSW degree, and a Certified Havening Practitioner. She uses strength-based approach with the emphasis on trauma and attachment, as well as on neuroplasticity - our brain's incredible ability to heal and thrive regardless of what we've had to deal with in our lives. Throughout her 30 years of experience in the field of mental health, Margarita has worked with youth and adults dealing with developmental wounds, sexual trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, anger, substance use, self-harm, and eating disorders, as well as issues facing LGBTQ2S+ communities, and refugees and immigrants. In her practice, Margarita is thrilled to be adding the Havening Techniques® to the array of other psychotherapeutic modalities, such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), NLP, Solution Focused and Narrative therapy, as well as drawing on Somatic approaches.
