Hi I'm Janine.
I have had a lifelong interest in alternative health therapies based on my belief that people have the ability to improve their health and wellbeing if they receive appropriate advice, guidance and support. The opportunity The Havening Techniques provide to empower people to achieve higher overall qualities of health is exciting.
My story :
I was 18 years old when I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatique Syndrome - CFS - otherwise known as ME - Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. I was repeatedly told it was all in my head. Over a timespan of 30 years some therapies alleviated the symptoms. In 2017 I attended The BodyMind Programme in the UK and those 3 days were life changing. I learned about the effect of what we think and tell ourselves, positive or negative - has on our emotional and physical health. My ongoing recovery since then inspired me to become a Certified Havening Techniques Practitioner. My experience has motivated me to help others.
I believe that change is always possible. Using The Havening Techniques, my aim is to help facilitate positive change by unlocking potential and enabling people to experience improved emotional and physical states of health.
Over the course of my training I have worked with clients who were experiencing fear, pain, loss, stress and anxiety, phobias and panic attacks. I have assisted clients to deal with changing beliefs that were limiting their wellbeing; therefore helping them build emotional resilience. I've helped empower clients to choose their direction, enabling them to live the life they want to live.
I am a Certified Bowtech Practitioner ( The Bowen Technique ) and practice Reiki to Level 2. I have trained in Clinical Hypnotherapy and have a Foundation Certificate in Classical Homeopathy.
I have a background in Fashion Design. I practice Mindfulness and Qi Gong. I enjoy meeting people, walking, running, art, photography and reading. Over the past 25 years I have travelled extensively though Asia, the Middle East and Europe. I have been involved in diplomatic settings in New Zealand and overseas, which have offered opportunities and experiences to engage with many peoples and cultures.
