Erin Sullivan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years' experience, 10 of them while serving as the Director of Radford Univerrsity Student Counseling Services. She presently works in part time private practice at Life In Balance Counseling & Wellness Center in Christiansburg, Virginia providing in person and telehealth therapy. Erin enjoys working with adults in individual counseling.
Erin believes that counseling is helping people to help themselves. She provides support and useful tools to assist clients in attaining their goals of personal growth and symptom relief. Erin has a special interest in the use of brief therapy utilizing: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing", Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Insight Oriented Therapy. Erin is an EMDRIA Certified Therapist in EMDR and is a Certified Havening Techniques Practitioner.
Her areas of expertise include: Trauma/PTSD, Sexual Assault, Adjustment Disorders/Life Transitions, Self Esteem Building, Grief & Loss, Anxiety, Depression, Sexual Identity and LGBT, and Eating & Body Image Issues.
