Paul Nolan has been over 30years in Therapeutic Practice. He is an Irish State Registered Nurse and a Senior Nationally Accredited, Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Paul is also, a Certified Reality Therapist, Certified Mediator, Clinical Hypnotherapist, EMDR Practitioner, Play Therapist, and Biodynamic Psychotherapist and an Advanced Capacitar International Facilitator.
He is employed three days per week (Since Jan 2005), at the Cork Institute of Technology Counselling Services. In this role, he currently serves on the National Executive of “Psychological Counsellors in Higher Education in Ireland”. Paul works two days per week in private practice offering the various services above. Paul is trained and certified in working with Individuals, Couples, Children and Groups.
As well as being a State Registered Nurse, Paul is highly qualified and experienced. He holds a Higher Diploma in Counselling (University Collage Cork), a Bachelors of Arts Degree, in Counselling (Cork Institute of Technology), Masters of Science in Psychotherapy (Middlesex University London), a Clinical Diploma in Psychotherapy (Metanoia Institute London), Postgraduate in Biodynamic Psychotherapy (Boyesen Centre London).
Previously, Paul was one of a limited number of Clinical Nurse Specialists in Irish Nursing. For almost eight years he worked for “Children at Risk Ireland” specializing in the childhood trauma of sexual abuse. For over three years he worked with “Schizophrenia Ireland” therapeutically, facilitating service users with mood-related disorders. For over 7 years, Paul was a core trainer on the Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy at the University in Limerick.
Paul Integrates havening Practices in to his theraputic work and has experienced it as extreamly helpful in helping individuals with Trauma or Adverse life experiences
