Chris Meaden – Trauma & Anxiety Specialist | 250+ Five-Star Reviews | Creator of The Meaden Method

Chris Meaden is a UK-based trauma and anxiety specialist known for helping people move from panic, overwhelm and emotional exhaustion to calm confidence — often more quickly than they expected.

He is the creator of The Meaden Method, an integrative approach combining Havening Techniques®, conversational hypnosis, belief re-patterning and neuroscience-informed therapy to create rapid, measurable emotional change.

Chris works with adults who are often high-functioning on the outside — professionals, parents, business owners — yet privately struggling with anxiety, panic attacks, trauma responses, insomnia or emotional coping behaviours such as alcohol use.

Rather than spending months revisiting painful stories, Chris works directly with the brain’s threat response system (the amygdala) to help neutralise the emotional charge of past experiences. Clients frequently report feeling noticeably lighter and calmer within a single session.

He has:

• 250+ verified five-star reviews – https://chrismeaden.com/reviews/
• 50+ video testimonials – https://chrismeaden.com/testimonials/
• Clear, structured treatment plans – https://chrismeaden.com/fees-and-times-2/
• Featured coverage in national press and lifestyle media – https://chrismeaden.com/press-media-enquiries/

Many clients choose a focused 4-hour intensive programme to address core issues efficiently and create lasting resilience.

Sessions are available in Tunbridge Wells (3 minutes from the railway station with direct trains from London Bridge and Charing Cross) and online via Zoom.

If you are ready to feel like yourself again — without committing to years of therapy — you can book a consultation call via his website to explore whether this approach is right for you.

Dear Reader, 'Havening' until 3 months ago was an unknown word in my vocabulary. Chris was recommended to me via word of mouth after a severe episode of anxiety and a visit to my GP.

I think the first thing you should know is that I am 49 years old, and have had years of various different therapies including Counselling, Psychiatry, Medication and pretty much anything you can think of.

These worked, and I will always suggest asking for help when you need it, and using every route you can to help yourself. BUT, Havening, if you are open to this incredible therapy, essentially teaches your brain to disconnect your trauma; be they physical, mental or emotional.

Trauma is a big word - and encompasses all things. Havening is for any individual who seeks to eliminate big, small, minute anxieties that change the way we behave or respond to certain situations. Please see Chris if it's huge, but please see Chris if it's small. Anything that makes you feel overwhelmed or anxious is worth seeing Chris for.

As a child, I was sexually assaulted, and I grew up in a difficult environment. I own this, I turned my life into something positive. But, if triggered, the anxiety and depression would rear up, and take me sideways.

Years of counselling has helped me along the way, but whenever there have been 'difficult' situations in my life - I always seemed to revert to a state of anxiety or depression.

I discovered through Havening that my connections to past experiences triggered feeling and emotions from long ago - Havening completely and utterly releases this.

Havening is quick! With just two sessions of two hours, I was able, with the brilliance, of Chris to learn techniques that permanently and without any form of regressive trauma in the moment; disconnect the event along with its emotions, it's physical negativity and anxiety inducing pain.

Havening works -- I can honestly say that childhood abuse is no longer a heavy and hidden burden that I unknowingly carried with me through my adult life.

I have talked it out, many many times. But, Havening now has completely broken the thread - yes it happened - but now it's somewhere else, its not a problem and it no longer connects by some invisible strand from my teens to my adulthood. It's gone......

The result of the above, Chris has gifted me the ability to move forward with more confidence, less fear, no anxiety, and just a shear and wonderful release from the burden of my unconscious mind.

I have learned an invaluable skill from Chris and I can use that skill anytime I wish. I will continue to follow through Chris's portal his knowledge and guidance and I will continue to grow.

Without the fear of the fear, what a wonderful life now it will be x thank you Chris

I recently completed Chris Meaden’s Anger Management program, and it has been one of the most transformative experiences of my life. Before joining, I struggled with managing frustration and reacting in ways that didn’t serve me or the people I care about. From the very first session, Chris created a safe, non-judgmental space where I could be honest about my emotions and start to truly understand what was behind them. Chris’s approach is refreshingly human and deeply insightful. He doesn’t just teach techniques, he helps you uncover the root causes of anger, build emotional awareness, and learn practical ways to respond rather than react. His calm, compassionate nature makes it easy to open up, and his guidance is always thoughtful, direct, and grounded in real understanding. Thanks to this program, I feel more in control, more self-aware, and more connected to the people around me. The tools I learned have made a real difference not only in how I handle anger but in how I approach challenges in general. If you’re struggling with anger or just want to develop better emotional resilience, I can’t recommend Chris Meaden’s program enough. It’s empowering, life-changing, and delivered with genuine care and integrity. Thank you, Chris — for your patience, kindness, and for helping me find peace and confidence again.

I came in to see Chris, after struggling with long-standing trauma and anxiety, feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to begin. After finding him through Google and reading all the great reviews, I knew I had found the correct therapist. From the very first session, Chris created a safe, supportive space where I felt genuinely heard and understood. Chris's approach is gentle yet effective, offering great tools and insights that helped me make sense of what I was experiencing. He guided me through processing difficult memories at a pace that felt comfortable, and taught me practical strategies to manage anxiety in my daily life. Im grateful for the insight and the control that I now have, that was once lost. I cant recommend him enough.
