Helen Skinner

Helen is a Clinical Hypnotherapist, mBIT Coach and Havening practitioner with a special interest in hypnofertility and childbirth, along with firewalking. She is passionate about working with anyone experiencing infertility or preparing for baby’s arrival.  She gently supports her clients to address and reduce any fears they may have and encourages them to find their own bespoke solutions - whether they are on their fertility journeys or preparing for a calm, positive birth experience. 

Helen is also a certified Firewalking instructor, having chosen to train in this transformative, self-empowerment teaching after it changed her life in her mid-twenties.  The Firewalking lifted her out of a very low emotional state and sparked a fascination with the mind-body interconnectivity. When she fell pregnant with her first baby, she instinctively knew that preparing both her mind and body was the key to experiencing a positive birth. Helen very deliberately invested time preparing for a calm birth, but little did she know the amazing knock-on confidence that her birth would give her to start her journey into motherhood. The physical act of giving birth gave Helen the clearest, most empowering experience of knowing that she was capable of being a mother - an experience that she passionately believes every woman should have the chance to experience in some manner.

This virtuous circle of mind preparing body and body empowering mind has fascinated Helen ever since. She is delighted to have discovered Havening - which fits so beautifully with the work she does - given its powerful ability to calm mind and body and change perceptions and reactions. She is very excited to offer this technique as part of her support for her clients.
