My girlfriend referred me to Dr. Truitt and her Associates after I started experiencing awful depression following being fired from my job. I stood up as part of the "me too" movement which led to a number of extremely awful experiences in my work place and tremendous bullying from my male colleagues. I was hesitant to reach out for help but even on the initial consultation call I felt like she understood my mind better than I did. Her explanations of neuroscience and calming statements that my brain is just being a brain made me feel less crazy. Dr. Truitt was able to see me within a few weeks and within 2 months I was strong and empowered in new ways I never imagined. She helped me explore patterns of my past, heal my brain, and engaged neuroplasticity, something she taught me a lot about in the course of our work, to build new and healthier ways of showing up in my life. I'm now strong enough to take back my power from not only the men who originally assaulted me but to challenge having been fired. Rather than spending months on a couch talking with a therapist, as I've done the past with little change, Dr. Truitt is engaged and highly proactive in creating positive change and ensuring I now can manage my own brain and stay balanced and healthy. Call her. you won't regret it. She teaches you how to work with your own brain rather than creating dependency on the therapist. - Kathleen M. in Sierra Madre, CA

Driving Phobia following car accident

My current therapist referred me to dr Truitt for treatment following a terrible car accident that left me feeling scared to drive. The fear, according to my therapist, was generalizing into being scared of all sorts of other things. It was weird. It was also weird that my therapist referred me to another therapist! I've done therapy for years but never had a therapist refer me to someone else for a single issue. I called dr Truitt, she had already spoken with my therapist, I gave them a release, and she had a good understanding of what was going on. I ended up seeing her four times and using her Havening technique she cured my fears about driving. CURED. I'm driving free as a bird, easy please, no anxiety at all! I also had pain after the car accident that wasn't going away - following working with Dr. Truitt, it's gone! I'm so happy I saw her. Game changer and in only 4 sessions! Her knowledge about the brain and fear is incredible. She explained everything that was happening in my brain in a way that was easy to grasp and made me feel not crazy. She's really funny and super nice. If you have fear, call her. It's worth it. - Almaza S. in Pasadena, CA

Dr. Truitt's tremendous brilliance and compassion are put to great service whether in therapeutic practice to remove the blocks of old traumas that shape our present lives or in helping people achieve incredible aspirations through emotional guidance. Of particular note is the 'havening' technique she practices that is a simple, essential, and wonderful force of healing that I hope more people get to experience.

The innovative applications of cutting-edge, drug-free methodologies like havening are emblematic of Dr. Truitt's constant striving and devotion to the well-being of the people she serves and a huge part of her continued and growing success. I only wish she had a book available to share what she knows with a broader audience!

Dr. Truitt is a life saver, truly. I came to her in a hard time of life. And she did not hand me diagnoses, Truitt gave me the tools to deal, cope and move on from my issues. She had patience, love and genuine concern for me. Dr. Truitt is a gifted psychologist in that she is extremely intelligent, patient, loves her career, and is well equipped with the tools to help any individual.

One more thing that really stands out about Dr. Truitt, is that she does not sit with a clip board and mutter off questions. She ask questions that cause the patient to really think about the situation and come up with answers and find comfort in them, followed by giving coping mechanisms, and going through them with the patient.

I have seen therapists and psychologist's for PTSD, social anxiety, depression and anxiety regarding sexual assault in my childhood and emotional abuse and neglect from my parents however none have affected me in the same way that Kate has.
Dr. Kate truitt is an amazing and wonderful medical professional.
Before i met her the walls of my world had collapsed and i was lost, i thought i was alone. I was on the verge of a 2nd suicide attempt and thought that nothing was ever going to get better. I had abandoned all hope and was tilling my own grave.

But she changed that
She is easy to talk to, warm and direct and very knowledgeable of her field and has quite the level of expertise . In just a few short sessions she has helped me cope with traumatic experiences that i thought i would never be able to recover from. Her use of CBT and havening has made a deep impact in my ability to Identify, recognize and cope with my triggers and has helped me begin to put my life back in order. She has given me light to a world covered in darkness. While most Doctor's and medical professionals tell you what the problem is called or the lists of symptoms affiliated with it. She will go the extra mile with you to make sure that YOU UNDERSTAND your illness, where it came from , where to go next and wont scare you into believing you are broken. She is an incredible person and helpful ally in the battle for a better self and a better future. If you have ever wanted to see a therapist for ANY REASON. Contact her regardless and you wont regret it.
