I have been a qualified clinical psychologist since 1996 in Mexico, and in more recent years, I have been enrolled as a Psychologist with the Psychological Society of Ireland since 2010 where I conducted my own private practice, giving therapy in the Spanish and English languages, in Dublin, Ireland. In 2017 I was awarded a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy by City Colleges, Dublin in association with the IMI ( Irish Management Institute).
From the beginning of my career, I have worked with patients suffering from different types of trauma, including victims of sexual abuse, and psychological and physical violence. I have worked closely with patients suffering from serious eating disorders, for example, bulimia and binge eating, and emotional eating. In recent years I have worked extensively with people presenting with symptoms of post-traumatic distress, and panic attacks, which led to my first encounter with Havening. I became more and more interested in learning about the benefits of the technique, which in turn, led me to become a certified practitioner in Havening. For my part, I have witnessed profound and astounding results with Havening across a very broad spectrum of patients with varying symptoms.
Currently, I am living in Mexico and I offer sessions through Skype in English or Spanish. I have had particular success in assisting patients with Havening who presented with panic attacks and emotional eating and post-traumatic stress disorder. I am very keen to make the Havening technique known in Mexico in order that people could benefit from it.
