Danièle Massie

Certified Practitioner since April 2021

Danièle Massie is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) specializing in working with adults who have a Sensory Processing Sensitivity, a normal, innate, genetic trait in 20-30% of the population. As an HSP - Highly Sensitive Person herself, she is the founder of Moving To Change Psychotherapy, a Certified Gestalt Therapist (Gestalt Institute of Toronto), a Certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner (trained with Dr. Kate Truitt), and an Emotional Freedom Techniques™ Level II Practitioner.

She offers short and long-term individual therapy sessions as well as workshops to HSPs interested in a creative, present-centered, neuroscience-informed bodymind approach to therapy and personal change. She works in both French and English and has been in private practice in downtown Toronto since 2005.

Her approach integrates over 35 years of personal and professional development including contemplative movement, the integration of creative arts, and meditation practices including mindfulness in everyday living. Her work is rooted in the fields of attachment theory, trauma resilience, and healing the transmission of intergenerational trauma--actively engaging the brain, the nervous system, and the body's innate wisdom and ability to heal, change, and thrive.

She is moved and inspired by the courage, creativity, resilience and tenacity of her clients as they seek to experience more authenticity, vitality, and satisfaction in their lives ... particularly through this very powerful tool of Havening.
